If you’ve never had the chance to meet a pufferfish, today is your lucky day! Well – you don’t get to meet an ACTUAL pufferfish. You do, however, get to meet one of Puffingston’s finest designers.
The swiss army knife of Prezi designers, Alex joined the Puffingston team in 2015 with a basic Prezi knowledge but a strong background in the Adobe Creative Suite. He was quickly able to pair his Illustrator and Photoshop skills with the conceptual element of Prezi to produce awesome presentations for our clients.
He’s been so busy designing presentations that he almost got away without doing this interview. Fortunately for us, though, we tracked him down. Alex is a tremendous part of our team here at Puffingston and we’re excited for you to get to know him too!
Who are you and what do you do
My name’s Alex and I’m a designer/presentation specialist.
Tell us about yourself
I was raised in San Antonio and moved to Austin to go to school at St. Edwards University. I have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and most of my experience prior to Puffingston comes from doing freelance work.
What are you most excited about working at Puffingston?
I’m most excited knowing my work is being seen by many people from around the country. The projects here are diverse, so It’s cool when sometimes there’s a conference room of 300-plus people out there viewing your presentation design.
What’s your favorite food?
Texas Tea
What is your favorite thing about Prezi?
I appreciate how easily text can be manipulated in Prezi. On PowerPoint, you can spend hours tweaking font sizes but with Prezi the text is part of the canvas and can be adjusted like any vector object. When our clients are comfortable with minimal text usage for their presentations, even better!
What’s your favorite hobby?
I have a lot of hobbies and interests so it’s difficult to pin down just one. I guess I’m really getting into mechanical keyboards right now.
