Our Prezi Designs in Action: SIM Partners CEO Jon Schepke

We recently had the privilege to work with another CEO for an event presentation, collaborating with Jon Schepke and the SIM Partners team for their 2014 SIMposium event in Chicago, Illinois.

SIMposium is an annual event promoted as “a free interchange of digital marketing strategy and innovation between the top minds in digital media.” The event featured numerous networking opportunities, expert speakers and round tables focused on industry trends and innovation strategies.

SIM Partners approached us about the presentation design because they were interested in using Prezi but had limited experience with the platform. After a webinar and an in-person meeting at their downtown Chicago office, we had a vision for the presentation and went about assembling it in preparation for the September 24 event.

“The SIM Partners team was great to work with,” says Luke Goetting, presentation specialist at Puffingston and primary designer on the project. “They’ve put a lot of thought into their overall marketing strategy, so it was exciting to become a part of that process and translate their ideas into a dynamic presentation for the event.”

Schepke’s presentation “Defining the Local Opportunity” focused on insights of local search engine optimization through recent industry research and SIM Partners’ own Velocity platform. Our Prezi design featured a Google Maps-style storyboard to identify the different research studies and focus on the details each one offered.

The SIM Partners presentation was one of eight featured at the event, with other notable speakers including Shar Vanboskirk of Forrester, Jason Holmes of Marketo and David Mihm of Moz.

All reports indicate both the presentation and event were very well received. After the event, SIM Partners included a summary tweet, “#SIMposium was a huge success! Many thanks to our speakers and guests for the excellent dialogue around local search & marketing automation.”
