For many companies, the new year marks the beginning of a major month of conferences and trade shows.

Our client Wolters Kluwer hit the ground running this year with the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) conference in Washington, D.C., which opened on Friday, January 2.

As a sponsor of the event, Wolters Kluwer had presentation obligations during the conference launch party as well as throughout the conference’s trade show.

Company representatives reached out to us for a presentation design that would reinforce their brand as a global information services leader and showcase their new tools designed specifically for the legal education industry.

After our initial meetings, we finalized a concept of “The Future of Legal Education is Now” with a digital tree theme that would be able to center in on information about Wolters Kluwer and then branch out to show the suite of products and tools the company offers.

The unique challenge for this project was applying the theme to multiple presentations for multiple outlets–one presentation was for a live speech during the launch party, other presentations were for the trade show booth and nearly all needed to be available for playback on iPads by company employees throughout the conference.

“Just like the new Wolters Kluwers legal education tools, we wanted these presentations to be versatile and mobile-friendly,” says Luke Goetting, presentation specialist at Puffingston. “It was an exciting challenge and fun to work with such a forward-thinking company.”

By conference time, we had converted the concept into six dynamic Prezi presentations tailored for their specific outlets. The in-person presentation could be controlled with a presentation remote, the trade show presentations were setup to automatically loop and the iPad presentations could be setup for both autoplay and manual control.

After four days of legal education discussion, the conference concluded on Monday, January 5 and Wolters Kluwer reported the presentations were a “big hit”–helping them better engage with potential clients and consistently promote their brand throughout event.
