How to Create Dynamic Business Presentations – PowerPoint Morph (Videos)

Want more examples of our PowerPoint Morph designs in action? Check out our Portfolio page!

We recently hosted an event called “Creating Dynamic Business Presentations” at the Capital Factory in downtown Austin. The event was hosted by our own Luke Goetting and focused on using popular presentation tools like PowerPoint, Prezi and Sli.do to create more engaging presentations for audiences. Live in the Austin area? Join our business presentations Meetup to be alerted about future events!

Didn’t make it to the “live” event? Today’s your lucky day!  We’re sharing some quick-hitting clips from the event so you can get a better understanding of the strategies we’re using with our clients on a daily basis to create effective presentations.

One of the themes of the event was creating “Conversational Presentations” – a technique that allows the audience to provide real-time feedback that directs what information and content the presenter covers during his/her presentation. In this post, Luke discusses how to inject conversational elements into your presentations using PowerPoint and its new Morph feature!

What is Conversational Presenting?

Let’s face it: pre-scripted slides covered in bullet points don’t get the job done effectively. Audiences are tired of being presented AT while having to wait for minutes or even hours for the few moments of the presentation that’s especially relevant and interesting to them. In this clip, Luke provides an overview on the concept of conversational presenting and why it is such a useful and effective way to present.

Using PowerPoint Morph for Conversational Presenting

In this clip, Luke demos how to use PowerPoint and its Morph feature to create and navigate through a presentation in a conversational way. As part of this workshop, Luke created the PowerPoint he’s showing in the video from scratch in front of the audience and taught them how to use similar techniques to create their own presentations. Most attendees hadn’t heard of the Morph feature and were excited to see it in action and learn how to use it!

PowerPoint demo: Morph in Action

In this clip, Luke shows a recent Puffingston presentation design for the National Restaurant Association. The audience was excited to see a “real world” example of the PowerPoint Morph feature and agreed it felt more dynamic, conversational and engaging than a traditional slide-based presentation.

Hopefully you can join us for our next in-person event, but either way, make sure to regularly check our our Blog and Training pages for tips and recommendations on PowerPoint, Prezi, Sli.do and the exciting world of presentations!
